Revamping Your House Interior

Whether you have lived in your home for many years or have just moved in, revamping your house interior can be an exciting process. However, with so many styles, accessories, and colour palettes to choose from, it can sometimes be difficult to know where to start.

Although the large features of a room, such as any unique period features or the colours on the walls can make a great difference to the overall aesthetic appeal of a space, it is often the small features that can transform a room from a once purely functional space to an inviting room that you want to spend time in. Here at Heart of Wood we have put together some tips to help you get the most out of each room in in your home.

Add a Personal Touch

Whether you prefer a minimalist style, or like to be surrounded by ornaments and collectables, there are multiple ways you can add a touch of your own personality into your house interior, without making it feel cramped or overwhelming.

If you would prefer to keep the walls bare, or don’t want to hang items over a patterned wallpaper, you may consider investing in stand alone photo frames of various sizes, and positioning these together to form an attention grabbing formation on a cabinet or table.

Photo frames come in a variety of colours, so you may decide to opt for a pastel theme, something monochrome, or even mirrored frames to match other details of your room.

Bespoke Handles

Changing the handles of your existing furniture or windows is a great way to update the look and feel of your space. Whether you are looking to create a more traditional space, or modernise the room, changing the handles of the existing furniture is a great place to start.

In addition to this, you may consider using finishing paints or varnishes to customise your existing furniture pieces to reflect the style you wish to create.

The lighting of a room is perhaps one of the most important features when it comes to creating the desired atmosphere.
Once you have decided on the type of main light you wish to have, you can add detail by incorporating lamps, and other forms of secondary lighting.

If you have a particular art piece you wish to highlight, you may wish to add singular spot lights, or separate wall lighting to showcase such pieces. Fairy lights and battery operated light up candles or feature ornaments can also add interest and detail to your house interior, whilst being controlled by the user.
